Gymnastics on TV

LONDON (GBR), FIG Office, October 11, 2009: The FIG Television Operations staff just updated the list of the networks that will broadcast, live or delayed the 41st Artistic Gymnastics World Championships to be hosted in London (GBR) at The O2 Arena. Gymnastics will be on air in more than 100 territories. The worldwide coverage has increased since the first World Championships of the previous cycle in 2006 in Aarhus (DEN).

BBC is operating as host broadcaster of these championships and will deliver footage of the Finals.

Since 1999, the FIG is the exclusive body for selling and administrating its television contracts and rights the world over. The package offered to the broadcasters includes all World Championships of the six FIG competitive disciplines of the gymnastics programme.

In London, a total of 20 TV commentary positions are provided in the arena.
